Clinical pharmacology is the study of the test compound/drug and how they affect the body of zebrafish which mimics human body.  This means analyzing the effects of established medical compounds, as well as understanding both the beneficial and harmful effects of the drugs.

WHAT WE DO?

This evaluates plasma concentration time profile, tissue concentration time profile and metabolism ( quantification of compounds in plasma and intestinal feces between 3-12 hours). We customize three different model to express a stable phenotype includes single gene mutation model, multi gene mutation model and infection model. Target identification model is identifying a particular gene overexpress, suppress or delete to get desired model.

OUR PROCESS

Safety pharmacology studies are performed before first exposure to man according to a hierarchy with:

  • The core battery assessing life sustaining respiratory, cardiac and central nervous system
  • Supplemental studies performed as required for the other organs such as the gastrointestinal system
  • Follow-up studies will examine with more scrutiny one of the core battery system if necessary.
