Anxiety Model In Adult Zebrafish

ANXIETY MODEL IN ADULT ZEBRAFISH 2
One of the central questions in biological psychiatry is how genes, molecular pathways, and patterns of connectivity in the brain produce and modulate anxiety behavior. Through the use of numerous behavioral paradigms, genetic/pharmacological screens, and neuroimaging, animals have been extensively used to model anxiety pathogenesis. The zebrafish (Danio rerio) has emerged as a useful new model for studying the behavioral and molecular mechanisms of brain disorders.

Zebrafish as an Inflammatory Model

Zebrafish-inflammation Model
The zebrafish (Danio rerio) has emerged as a powerful model for studying vertebrate development and disease. Its short generation time makes it amenable for genetic manipulation and analysis. Its small size and high fecundity help in large-scale genetic and chemical screening. The rapidly developing zebrafish embryos are transparent, which allows live imaging of various developmental processes in wild-type and mutant animals.

Modeling of Heart Failure in Zebrafish

Heart failure
Heart failure is a silent yet deadly disease that has steadily risen this past decade due to the increase in the aging population. An alarming trend of heart failure in the young population has also been observed. To study this disease and find treatments or drugs for it, it is necessary to create a pre-clinical model. We describe the methods of creating a zebrafish model in heart failure along with its testing parameters.
